FTP will not connect with TR 3

have been running TR 2.2 to upload certain files to the internet.
I upgraded to TR 3 but the FTP would not work, it kept asking for my USER and PASS. However, I used the same settings I use on WS_FTP and on TR 2.2. I had to go back down to TR 2.2. I would like to be able to specify a specific remote directory as well as use some other features like restart which appear to be present on the new TR 3. However, I can not get the FTP to work properly. Please advise.

There should be a folder in the directory where you installed TaskRunner called "logs". In it there should be a file named TRBeta.log and TskSch.log. I need you to send me those files, so I can track down what's causing your issue.

The easiest way would be to open each file and copy the contents, then paste them into a PM and send it to me. Or you can email the contents using the "Email" link on the home page.

Hi - i'm getting the same error messages when attempting to set the folder option for an FTP upload.

Could not login to FTP Server. Details: Please login with USER and PASS

any advice would be greatly appreciated. If i can get this working, it'll totally be worth paying for :-)

Sorry I haven't replied in a bit... I'm gonna try debugging this as soon as I can.

If either of you could, would you be able to provide me with a temporary username/password on whatever FTP server it is that you're trying to log in to? This problem is most likely server specific, so it would have to be able to debug it using a problematic server.

OK guys... sorry it took me so ridiculously long to get to this.

A new version is up with the fixes (you should be notified the next time you start TR). The problem is that some FTP servers react slightly different to certain requests. But I tested the full range of FTP functions using the test login that ianjordan provided me without any problems, so hopefully we won't be seeing any more of this issue.
